I’ve been very fortunate in my life that I have a great day job, so I’ve never needed the proceeds from book writing to make a living. That’s why, with every book I’ve written, I’ve found a way to donate those proceeds to a worthy cause. Looking Through Water is no different.
One of the central themes of Looking Through Water is the idea of getting out into nature to confront challenges so that we may ultimately see them as opportunities. For me, the open water has always been transformative. That’s why it felt very fitting to give the sales proceeds to Project Healing Waters, an organization dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and veterans through fly fishing and associated outdoor education and activities.
Our company, Rich Products, has a long and proud tradition of supporting veterans and military families, and I’m honored to continue that commitment through this project.
